Only to the degree that your genetics allow. That is it is difficult to over come thin nails if you did not inherit the genes for thick nails. If your genes give you thick wavy hair you will not be able to make fine straight hair grow out of your scalp, see? But you can make the most of your nails by eating properly, drinking sufficient water and taking care of them. Most nail polishes that say they strengthen do so by drying the nails so they seem stronger. That works for some but if you notice them getting dry, peeling and cracking more, stop using that product. Most oils will add flexibility (and are great for cuticles), the olive oil treatment is great but I'd avoid the lemon juice, citrus is drying. Massage is great to increase circulation in the nail beds and can stimulate growth (it will take four months to notice the difference). Don't buff the surface if the nail is thin, buffing removes nail. Experiment to see if your nails do better with or without polish, try LCD and OPI. Use non acetone polish remover and don't change polish too often (more than every four days) if you can avoid it. Your nails, like hair, are affected by stress, B complex can help (if it is safe for you to take) and practice de-stressing. If you have naturally thin nails, make the best of it, keep them short and neat (not everyone needs claws), pick soft colors that don't show wear at the edges and keep cuticles neat (don't cut healthy cuticle).

If you go to drug stores or just any beauty supply stores, you can find nail polishes to help nail growth. I saw some Sally Hansen brands the other day but there's a lot.
One, take gelatin tablets, two, get a nail strengthener or hardener and finally always use a base coat.
If you keep biting your nails, then they will stop very soon to grow back. Eat fish, boiled eggs, egg to make them grow faster.
Eat gelatin, take prenatal vitamins and use Revivanail.

VITAMIN E!!!! I cant tell you how crazy long your nails can get if you get this stuff. Get it in either a lotion form or the oil. Or, what you could do is buy the vitamin E pills themselves, and poke a hole in one of them, and squeeze the insides of the pill out and onto your cuticles, and gently message them into the cuticles, remembering to push the cuticles back as you do it as well. The pill gets inside and under the nail bed, and it energizes the nails to grow like crazy. give it a couple of days. I think you will be really impressed.
Also, I know that its not good to cute cuticles, cause you can get infected, but I cut mine all the time, and they are fine. Or if not, Sally Hansen has this cuticle stuff that should get rid of them. Its in a green tube. Look for it in the nail area in your store.

I have a smooth, white line running right up the center of my right thumb nail and when it grows out, it's actually thinner on the underneath side of the nail so it breaks or splits BADLY and very easily. You should only wear fake nails 3 days at a time. Leave them off for 2 days. Your nails need air to stay healthy. To make your nails stronger, eat gelitan, a.k.a. JELL-O. It takes time to repair or grow out the crack.
Hopefully you can grow it out - which in that case, you can just clip it off, albeit it may ACTUALLY be permanent ..
This may be an emotional issue due to the fact that nothing physical is helping. Each finger muscle stores different emotions, if you want to know, which finger is it???
It's not really curable, you just have to let it grow out. nails do grow pretty quick, it will probably be completely grown out to the point where you can clip it off for your next manicure in about a month. I would not recommend getting new fake nails on it until after it has grown out becuase of the risk of fungal growth between the real and fake nails. Continue to apply the antifungal ointment in the meantime though and it should be good as new in a month.

OMG only if you have insurance...... i wouldnt! what exactly are you nomore nailing it to? a wall with wallpaper on? the paper would just come off. paint? the paint would come off. bare bricks? it wont stick.
we have drilled our 42'; tv mount in - you should find instructions on how to do it properly, and preferably onto a brick wall.
good luck, and if you do no more nails it, make sure no one stands underneath it....
It is very important to make the wall mounting permanent. If you chance using an adhesive of some sort, you will definitely have some expensive problems - - mainly the loss of your TV.
If you are having problems with fasteners, check with your local hardware store. They will be able to show you the proper way to install them. Or check with a good handyman:-)
I've used that stuff before - its rubbish for even little things. I certainly wouldn't recommend it for something as heavy as a TV. Especially as if it fails your TV will smash, so if you can't afford to lose a TV you're better off getting a nice stand as it sounds like your wall isn't thick enough.

OMG only if you have insurance...... i wouldnt! what exactly are you nomore nailing it to? a wall with wallpaper on? the paper would just come off. paint? the paint would come off. bare bricks? it wont stick.
we have drilled our 42'; tv mount in - you should find instructions on how to do it properly, and preferably onto a brick wall.
good luck, and if you do no more nails it, make sure no one stands underneath it....
It is very important to make the wall mounting permanent. If you chance using an adhesive of some sort, you will definitely have some expensive problems - - mainly the loss of your TV.
If you are having problems with fasteners, check with your local hardware store. They will be able to show you the proper way to install them. Or check with a good handyman:-)
I've used that stuff before - its rubbish for even little things. I certainly wouldn't recommend it for something as heavy as a TV. Especially as if it fails your TV will smash, so if you can't afford to lose a TV you're better off getting a nice stand as it sounds like your wall isn't thick enough.
Oh Hell ,, Don't even consider it . No nails wont take any weight at all. ... Ok to hold a dado rail or skirting , but a bracket or shelf,,, never,, No a wall bracket needs drilling and rawlplugs to hold it. A 37'; is large, I wouldn't use a bracket at all , but a stand,,,

Use coach screws of M8 gauge about 50mm long. And be sure to drill into the wall, rather than just the plaster/plasterboard.

I would never use ';glue'; to hold a tv bracket to the wall. I would only use heavy duty anchor bolts.

My 5 year old son has recently (w/in the last 6 months) started chewing his nails constantly and on his sleeves. I have explained to him why it's not healty to put your hands in your mouth as well as not good for your teeth, etc...but nothing is working. Are they having trouble in school with another kid, is there fighting going on at home, is there a life event that happened recently, is there a friend he has that does the same thing? Children mimic as well. I would not punish him for it. That could make things worse. He may be using it as an outlet. What may seem to be a small life event to you, a five year old may see as devastating. He could get passed it on his own. The more you take attention to it the more he will do it because he is at the age with the mentality of ';ok if I do this, I get attention'; I will keep doing it';.

I had my wisdom teeth come in when I was 19, and I remember my gums itching deep inside and it drove me crazy, and chewing really did help calm the feeling down. If he wants to chew, give him a damp wash cloth whenever you see him starting to chew his shirt. Hope this helps!

For his clothes, maybe soak the cuffs in something like vinegar and hang dry (not sure if that will damage the fabric, but try it on a play shirt). Hopefully it will be so gross that he stops.

Olive oil is a great, natural way of strengthening your nails. Just squirt a little oil into your hands and massage them into your nails. Then leave your nails to dry for about 10 minutes. Wash off the excess oil then put on a special nail hardening treatment. Then you have beautiful nails!

I would really like healthy looking nails. My hands are really soft because I am always using hand lotion, but my nails are just horrible. ~cut ur nails every three to six weeks, and when u do that cut off the ends only.
~when u wear nail polish, leave it on for about a week and then go for a week without nail polish to keep ur nails healthy
~if you absolutely need nailpolish, be sure to use calcium-enriched nail polish remover
~after removing nail polish, soak ur finger tips in water (as hot as u can manage) for five minutes and then soak it in room temp. water for three minutes and then soak it in ice cold water for three minutes.

~when u wear nail polish, leave it on for about a week and then go for a week without nail polish to keep ur nails healthy
~if you absolutely need nailpolish, be sure to use calcium-enriched nail polish remover
~after removing nail polish, soak ur finger tips in water (as hot as u can manage) for five minutes and then soak it in room temp. water for three minutes and then soak it in ice cold water for three minutes.

I don't think I have ever used a product that made my nails grow, but I noticed that keeping a quality polish on with a clear topcoat prevents breakage and my nails seem longer much faster. It takes upkeep because I do keep the nails painted with no chips everyday, but with the nail color as an armor, the nails grow well. Good luck

The way I do it is pretty easy and best if you can't really paint straight lines.
I paint my nail one color then put tape on it. It's kind of hard to explain, but I overlap two pieces of tape to leave a square open on my nail. Then I paint that, wait till it dries. Then I use the tape to overlap again, and make it match up to the lines i created with that one square and paint that.. I leave spaces open so the polish underneath shows.
ok its reallt easy just put tape or something in lines and yes the tape pices will be really small
or the nail shop might be able to
i put tape on it. its kind of tricky though, cuz if you let it dry too long then the tape would ripe off the nailpolish, and if it duznt dry long enough, its easy for it to smear and stuff.

if your nails are short its not gonna work that well but once it grows just file the top dont even touch the sides just file the top lightly and then do it the next time you have to file and eventually it will come into a rectangular shapee

i've tried nail polish for growing strong nails didn't work, they always tear on the side %26amp; alot of times the tear is halfway down the nail, %26amp; man does it hurt!!How can you grow your nails without tearing on the side?
I gained strenght in my nails by drinking jello juice. yes it does work. pick what ever flavor you like. then after making it let it cool if needed and drink warm. chilling it will not make it work. Those jello things they have in the fingernail isle do not work either. you must drink it warm.How can you grow your nails without tearing on the side?
That's why superglue is oh so handy ! Make sure you're filing them with an emery board (fine) and only in 1 direction.
Also, when you start to get that tiny little start of a tear, put a bit of superglue on it.
Have you tried OPI Nail Envy? I have used it over 4 years now and it is the greatest stuff ever!
Keep them groomed and they will resist tearing.
Also for emergencies...they sell nail glue which will fix the tears (you can also just use glue for fake nails...works the same)

There's some clear nail polish at the pharmacy that has a REALLY bitter taste, so you'll stop biting them. Good luck! I tried stopping biting my nails a few years ago, too, but then gave up. I've too much of a stressful life to stop biting my nails- it wasn't worth it. :D
Buy some nail polish that are made specifically for nail biters. It's clear and it has a bitter taste to it. I doubt after tasting you will bite your nails still. You can get the nail polish at CVS, Walmart, etccc.
