How do I get fake nails off?

I have a friend and she is having some trouble with fake nails. Can someone tell me how to get them off?How do I get fake nails off?
Get fake clippers. How do I get fake nails off?
Use pure acetone. Pour some in a glass bowl. Soak the nails for about 20 minutes. Then, without removing them from the acetone, start scraping with an orangewood stick. Scrape and soak until all the product is off.

polish remover will not work.

If your acrylics have a gel overlay then make sure you file the nail to break the seal before soaking.
You could always just carefully peel them off but i wouldnt do that :) It could damage the surface of your nails real bad. Instead you can just soak them in warm water. They should come off painlessly and easily. Hope i helped ♥♥
Soak them in Nail Polish Remover WITH acetone. (That is if they were professionally done) You need to soak them for a while, not like 5 minutes.. try like a half hour and they should melt/loosen up so you can get them off! Good Luck.
soke them under hot water for 5 min and then peel them off or you can go to the nail salon and they will take them off for you.

answer mine please

You can pull them off, but I wouldn't recommend it. The best thing to do is soak your nails in a nail polish remover for a few minutes. They will come off painlessly.
Soak them in a Nail polish remover with acetone until they become loose

After removing fake nails, I now have a permanent crack in one of my nails. How can I cure this?

I have tried an anti-fungal ointment and tea tree oil but neither one helped. After removing fake nails, I now have a permanent crack in one of my nails. How can I cure this?
I've been told that what I have from the last time I had acrylic nails (maybe it's different than yours?) is internal damage and there's nothing that can be done to reverse it, but it WAS caused by the drills or the harsh removal of the acrylic. I have a smooth, white line running right up the center of my right thumb nail and when it grows out, it's actually thinner on the underneath side of the nail so it breaks or splits BADLY and very easily. Not good. I'm gonna watch this post and see if there's other suggestions or you describe your damage better for us. THANKS!After removing fake nails, I now have a permanent crack in one of my nails. Ahh, sorry - I've been told there's nothing I can do about it ...from my (NEW) manicurist to my Dr.!

This has happened to me. I bought vitamen E capsuls, broke them open and rubbed it on the area. It worked for me.
When my finger nail cracks down the middle I eat more jello. It takes a while to grow back, but it works.
You should only wear fake nails 3 days at a time. Leave them off for 2 days. Your nails need air to stay healthy. To make your nails stronger, eat gelitan, a.k.a. JELL-O. It takes time to repair or grow out the crack.
Hopefully you can grow it out - which in that case, you can just clip it off, albeit it may ACTUALLY be permanent ..
This may be an emotional issue due to the fact that nothing physical is helping. Each finger muscle stores different emotions, if you want to know, which finger is it???
It's not really curable, you just have to let it grow out. nails do grow pretty quick, it will probably be completely grown out to the point where you can clip it off for your next manicure in about a month. I would not recommend getting new fake nails on it until after it has grown out becuase of the risk of fungal growth between the real and fake nails. Continue to apply the antifungal ointment in the meantime though and it should be good as new in a month.

What is the best way to heal your fingernails after using artificial nails?

All that advice is ok unless you have contracted a fungal nail infection! If they don't start looking better in two weeks get checked out by your doctor. What is the best way to heal your fingernails after using artificial nails?
I just cleaned them up really good. Clipped them down to the meat and put clear nail polish strengthener on them til they grew back. Took about a month. Good Luck! What is the best way to heal your fingernails after using artificial nails?
Id also like to know mine are a mess. I have to keep using them as they are an embarrassment.
lotion and Sally Hansen Hard as Nails (clear)nail polish
Vitamin A and E
Eat a lot of Jello. The jellitan makes your nails grw fast, and also makes them stronger.

  • Can i use no more nails to put up a tv wall mount?

i have a tv wall mount for my 37 inch tv and was wondering if i could use no more nails to put the bracket on the wall?

thanksCan i use no more nails to put up a tv wall mount?
    Sure, go right ahead.

signed: Your Locat TV SalesmanCan i use no more nails to put up a tv wall mount?
OMG only if you have insurance...... i wouldnt! what exactly are you nomore nailing it to? a wall with wallpaper on? the paper would just come off. paint? the paint would come off. bare bricks? it wont stick.

we have drilled our 42'; tv mount in - you should find instructions on how to do it properly, and preferably onto a brick wall.

good luck, and if you do no more nails it, make sure no one stands underneath it....
It is very important to make the wall mounting permanent. If you chance using an adhesive of some sort, you will definitely have some expensive problems - - mainly the loss of your TV.

If you are having problems with fasteners, check with your local hardware store. They will be able to show you the proper way to install them. Or check with a good handyman:-)
I've used that stuff before - its rubbish for even little things. I certainly wouldn't recommend it for something as heavy as a TV. Especially as if it fails your TV will smash, so if you can't afford to lose a TV you're better off getting a nice stand as it sounds like your wall isn't thick enough.
Oh Hell ,, Don't even consider it . No nails wont take any weight at all. ... Ok to hold a dado rail or skirting , but a bracket or shelf,,, never,, No a wall bracket needs drilling and rawlplugs to hold it. A 37'; is large, I wouldn't use a bracket at all , but a stand,,,
NO NO NO NO NO and NO

    Why?

NotNails/NoNails/NeverNails is strong enough to glue an ocean liner to your wall BUT, the wall, especially the plaster may NOT be strong enough to support the load.

Use coach screws of M8 gauge about 50mm long. And be sure to drill into the wall, rather than just the plaster/plasterboard.

If you can't then ask a man (or woman) who can.
OMG Your not serius you really carn't be, NMN is a really good product but it's not ment to hold a load at all. Do you have any idea how much the 37'; will weigh! You should find someone to come fit it for you if your no good at DIY definitly. Try:

No More Nails wouldn't be suitable for a TV bracket - %26amp; if you're really unsure about the quality of your own DIY skills, get a mate in to put the bracket up.
I would never use ';glue'; to hold a tv bracket to the wall. I would only use heavy duty anchor bolts.
    Not suitable.
no more nail's= no more tv
get a stud finder and locate your studs and use screws to mount the bracket to the studs
    I Fecking wouldn't.
I think you've probably gor your answer now. Just to reiterate, NO!
dont risk your $1000+ just cause you dont wanna drill a couple of extra holes dril every hole you have to big screen tvs wiegh over 40 pounds!
    GOD i wouldnt risk it!!!!!!!
If you don't mind it falling off again.

You need to drill, plug and screw. Nothing else is strong enough,
    i wouldn't
NO,i wouldnt attempt it if i was you,its not that good.
do not use no more nails to put your tv up on the wall. its not that good!
No More Nails is meant to replace Nails... Not Screws and Wall Plugs..

How do you get your 5 year old to stop chewing their nails...?

My 5 year old son has recently (w/in the last 6 months) started chewing his nails constantly and on his sleeves. put something non-toxic that smells/tastes unpleasant on the tips of his fingers.
I used to bite my nails all the way to HS. I didnt stop until one day, my grandma decided I need to start going to get manicures. Im thinking maybe groom his nails every week. It will show him how important they are.

My 4 year old used to do it, and I did that with him and my 3 year old daughter.

As for the biting sleeves, I think thats more of a nervous thing.

I cant stop my son from stretching out the collars.
You could dip the sleeves in vinegar (let them dry, of course, before he wears it) and you could put the ';No Bite'; polish on until he breaks the habit. Good luck.
One, you can't logically talk to a 5 year old. You can try. They just don't comprehend. Your child is displaying an anxiety problem and you need to get to the root of it. Are they having trouble in school with another kid, is there fighting going on at home, is there a life event that happened recently, is there a friend he has that does the same thing? Children mimic as well. I would not punish him for it. That could make things worse. He may be using it as an outlet. What may seem to be a small life event to you, a five year old may see as devastating. He could get passed it on his own. The more you take attention to it the more he will do it because he is at the age with the mentality of ';ok if I do this, I get attention'; I will keep doing it';.
my dad always threten to put chlie powder stuff....and he didnt...but i like chile powder...like lucus...otherwise dipp the fingers in lemon juce
i agree that its a form of stress relief, a nervous habit. Try to figure out why??
well i know my mom use to put like viger under my sis nails it made her stop biting on them.
You could put something that tastes bad on his nails and when he bites it, he will tastes the bad taste. For the sleeve, maybe it will work, but I don't know.
they make stuff they sell at walmart or sallys that tastes god awful when they put thier fingers in their mouths!
first off...quit lying to the kid...chewing his nails is NOT bad..won't do anything to his teeth and won't rot his stomach. ( I've heard it all...) nail chewing is a symptom of something else..So you have to determine whats going on thats stressing him out or making him antsy. ( trust me, it's either stress, abuse or something he can't handle right now.)

So take care of the underlying problem and you'll take care of the chewing...
i'm 24 and i STILL haven't stopped biting my nails. honestly, you should probably stop worrying about germs so much ... you're being overbearing.
Maybe just cut his nails as short as possible fairly often. If there's no nail to chew maybe he'll drop the habit?
In my experience with my own kids and kids at the preschool I work at, my first thought would be that he's teething new molars. Crunchy carrots, apples, etc. are good for helping with the teething, and maybe some Hyland's teething tablets. I had my wisdom teeth come in when I was 19, and I remember my gums itching deep inside and it drove me crazy, and chewing really did help calm the feeling down. If he wants to chew, give him a damp wash cloth whenever you see him starting to chew his shirt. Hope this helps!
umm, put sour lemons on his fingers? **** his nails everytime they look like there growing?
i wont suggest anything in this case because there is nothing wrong with that.
Bitter and spicy substances should work if you don't want him to look like he is wearing clear nail polish. Maybe just wipe his finger tips with a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remover a few times a day (the flavor sticks to your skin/nails and tastes horrible).

For his clothes, maybe soak the cuffs in something like vinegar and hang dry (not sure if that will damage the fabric, but try it on a play shirt). Hopefully it will be so gross that he stops.
there is some stuff that you can put on the nails like nail polish (but not nail polish) that tastes real bad for this very thing
Maybe try cutting his nails every couple of days.if theres no nail to bite then he will soon break the habit.Good luck.
So you know how little kids like to get like, you know, new stuff right? Get him some cool gloves, the knitted kind, and he'll want to wear them. He can't chew his fingernails if he has gloves on.
You could always treat him like Michael Jackson %26amp; tape them...but if public humiliation isn't your thing you might consider that bitter tasting polish you can purchase at the beauty supply store. Also, you could reward him when he doesn't- maybe a sticker or a special treat- and punish him when you see it happening.
tell him that santa is watching and no present for him
PAINT THEIR NAILS WITH TABASSCO SAUCE!

How can I make my nails grow faster?

THANKS!How can I make my nails grow faster?
Well at any drug or department store you can buy something called ''Nail Growth''.Its in the makeup section. All you have to do is take all the nail polish off your nails and paint that on.Then the magic starts to work. Its about 3-4 dollars.Same price as nail polish. How can I make my nails grow faster?
    don't bite them
ONE THING YOU CAN DO IS USE NAIL HARDNER IT HELPS BECAUSE IT MAKE YOUR NAILS HARDER AND NOT AS HARD TO CHIP OFF OR BREAK SO IT WILL NOT TAKE AS LONG TO GROW! HOPE I HELPED!! ♥

How can I strengthen my nails?

I've always had long nails, but for some reason, they keep bending lately. And i noticed when i took a shower that they turned clear. Why are they doing this? And what can i do to make them stronger again? How can I strengthen my nails?
there is a clear nail polish that helps make them stronger. prolly at wallmart*

and your nails turn clear cause the hot water prolly makes them clear and they are getting cleaned! =BHow can I strengthen my nails?
Don't worry about the shower thing. Sally Hanson has a clear coat that strengthens your nails i think its called diamonds or something like that. Also eat/drink things high in calcium.
    try a nail hardener
mine used to be exactly the same, like they would bend then crack and snap right? yeah me too!!

well i just experimented with lots of nail polishes that claim to work, nail hardeners work well too!

dont always go for the most expencive stuff as they dont always work the best!

    xx good luck
Olive oil is a great, natural way of strengthening your nails. Just squirt a little oil into your hands and massage them into your nails. Then leave your nails to dry for about 10 minutes. Wash off the excess oil then put on a special nail hardening treatment. Then you have beautiful nails!
